Laidlaw Photography

Stuart Laidlaw (s.laidlaw@blueyonder.co.uk ) is a professional photographer with 30 years experience who now works mainly in digital imaging (however he can still photograph in medium or large format if the need arises). Ian Laidlaw (e-mail ian@laidlawenterprises.co.uk ) has 33 years of varied photographic experience behind him and is now specialising in photo-journalism. Insurance photography

We are able to come to your home and photograph in situ objects or artwork that is delicate or easily damaged. Collections of material would be photographed consistently and at the same size. The photographs would be yours to keep on the memory card that they were photographed on and you would get 3 CDs of the material with suitable metadata applied to them. No imagery would be taken away from your home. This process is also ideal for cataloging personal book libraries as the binding, title and author are clearly rendered in a format accepted by most insurance companies in the event of any subsequent loss.

Digitisation

If you have photographic material - 35mm slides, colour negatives, black and white photograps in any format we can digitize them to render them suitable for PowerPoint presentations or at a 16mb large size for archival purposes for £1 per image, (minimum order £20). If you have a large archive the costs could be lower per item. Information can be applied to the metadata in general area and 30 characters uniquely to any image. You may choose the system of file naming.

We have recently been awarded a contract by the Carnegie Research Institute, Leeds Metropolitan University to produce iamges from the July 2008 England v South Africa Test match at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, Leeds.
